We will be meeting downstairs in the former store (the Luke Room) to the right of the stairs as you go down. We meet on Sunday mornings at the same time as our Sunday School meets - 9:15 am in the church for the Children’s Sermon and then dismissal to your class. Our Live Big Lead teacher is Gina Verrachi, assisted by Janice Savarese and we will be adding others to help.

REGISTRATION... is an ongoing thing. If you have not registered your child for Sunday School or our new Live Big class, we are asking you to do so as soon as possible. Don’t forget to update your records; address , e mail, marital or family status changes, allergies etc. Please remember, SS goes through grade SIX with Confirmation beginning at the 7th grade level. It is important that you give your child a strong foundation to build his or her life upon. Do not neglect this important aspect of your parenting gift and responsibility. They need you to help them grow spiritually. What better place than Holy Cross to do this?
NOVEMBER 23rd - Operation Christmas Child...
We’ll Be Collecting Filled Shoeboxes on Sunday November 23rd!
It is once again time for Operation Christmas Child. Samaritan’s Purse, a Christian outreach organization, distributes millions of shoeboxes worldwide – filled to overflowing with gifts from generous people like you to children in 95 countries. Using a simple gift-filled shoebox and the Good News of God’s love, Operation Christmas Child brings joy and hope to children in desperate situations around the world and introduces them to the story of God’s greatest gift, Jesus Christ. During distributions, children are offered colorful storybooks that present the Good News of Christ in over 70 languages. Once again, our Sunday School children are preparing these shoebox gifts to share and we invite the congregation to join in. Please bring your filled shoeboxes to church no later than Sunday morning, November 23rd.
We will be collecting shoeboxes on Sunday, November 23rd during morning Worship services.
(Shoeboxes may be dropped off at an earlier date downstairs in the Sunday School office.)
Live Big News
CHANGE IN OUR WORSHIP... because so many children are involved in our Sunday School program and our worship we are having a difficult time settling down in worship and getting the children off to class in a timely fashion, which limits their learning experience. BEGINNING October 19TH the children will leave for SS class immediately following the Children’s Sermon WHICH WILL TAKE PLACE AFTER GATHERING THE PRAYERS AND BEFORE THE ENTRANCE HYMN (first hymn). Those parents that need to escort their children to class will have ample time to return to their seats and go deeper in the worship experience. If you want to keep your child in with you for any part of the worship service, PLEASE FEEL FREE TO DO SO. These changes are to help you worship and if that includes your child, so be it.

Live
Big - Levels 5 and 6 are just beginning a new program at
Holy Cross called Live Big, a combined class engaging in
activities and multi media. It will be an exciting time together
that draws upon the world around us, and meshes with our youth’s
introduction to Holy Communion during the 5th grade and
preparation for entering our Confirmation program in the 7th
grade. Think creative innovative projects, videos, hands-on
activities.
