There is a

Place For You

at Holy Cross

Welcome to Holy Cross

I hope that you will feel right at home as you worship and as you begin to participate in the ministry and mission of Holy Cross. “There is a place for you at The Cross.” Please accept my invitation to explore the possibilities that Holy Cross offers you and your loved ones as you journey on in your faith. You have come to The Cross where opportunities abound to go on the God Hunt, and where you may be touched in new, fresh and exciting ways with the love of Jesus, our best friend.

A Place for Celebration - We Lift Our Voices in Prayer, Praise and Thanksgiving

We are a ministry within the ELCA (Evangelical Lutheran Church in America) and welcome all Christians to participate in our worship experience and to come to the Lord’s table for Holy Communion.

A Place With a Vision - Building a Holy Cross Community

Jesus said, “I have come to seek and save the lost.” We have heard this mission statement of Jesus and we give it honor by carrying on his work.  We look to the future in which we might make an even greater impact in the quality of life of all people and serve the community with spiritual integrity.

We are seeking to create an innovative mission center that brings fresh possibilities for people to flourish through expanded opportunities for educational, spiritual, recreational and inspirational growth and outreach service, for the sake of Jesus Christ our Savior.

“No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind can conceive

what God has prepared for those who love Him.”

                                1 Corinthians. 2:9

A Place to Serve Others

We seek to offer a variety of innovative ways for Christ’s people to reach with His Love into the community, nation and the world. As Mother Teresa said, “Let us be the pencil in the hand of God.”

Bringing the Cross to You

May you know that the Lord goes before you paving the way,

behind you to urge you along,

beside you to be your best friend,

and above you to watch over you

For information in any area of our ministry, please click on the appropriate heading under the Ministries section on our home page, or you may contact the Church Office at 631-588-9509. We welcome you with open arms.

A Place for Friendships

Nothing quite compares to the joy of Christian friendship. That’s why we consider it a priority to provide an atmosphere where people can build lasting bonds of love between members of the church family - bonds of concern and genuine commitment. The circle is ever widening... we would enjoy including you, too!

Working together in service to Jesus Christ by caring for others and in growing our mission and ministry as a church community - we build friendships.

Worshipping together in praising God for our many blessings and in sharing our struggles with one another in the many ways we pray together - we build friendships.

Rejoicing together in the wonderful moments of our lives as in the birth of a new born child, the baptism of one of God’s own, the first time a child receives Holy Communion, in time of marriage and in renewal of marriage vows or as in death we celebrate the gift of eternal life - we build friendships.

Talking together and searching together, laughing together and weeping together, praying together and praising together - we build friendships.

A Place for Adults

Whether you’d like to dig in and get involved in serving the Lord, pray in a small group or relax and socialize in a friendly setting with other adults, we have opportunities for you. WELCA (Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America), Diakonia Program of study, Membership information classes, Prayer Group, Ministry Opportunities, Altar Guild, Church Council, Worship Leaders, Education, Elder Care, Evangelism, Outreach, Parish Maintenance, Finance, Youth Ministry, Choir, Ushers, Music and much, much more.

A Place for Youth

We believe youth in their formative years and beyond deserve a safe, wholesome and fun environment where they can be loved, build positive self-esteem, and grow great relationships - especially their relationship with Jesus. We offer a weekly Sunday children’s sermon, our on-site Noah’s Ark Preschool, Sunday School, First Communion classes, Confirmation classes, Faith Friends (our youth group for Preschool through 4th grade), God Squad 567 (our youth group for kids in grades 5 through 7), J.A.G. (the Jesus Adventure Group - our youth group for those in grades 8 and above), a Youth Choir, Acolyte service, Scouting, Vacation Bible Camp, A.C.T.S (Active Children’s Time in the Summer), in addition to a variety of service opportunities, activities and events for all ages.

Again - Welcome!

Holy Cross is committed to helping you grow in your faith, building healthy relationships and making an impact in your world through serving God. There is a place here for you. We welcome you with open arms!

In Christ’s Love,

Rev. Claudia D. Raggie
